Principal Dental Prosthetist
After completing a Diploma of Dental Technology from South Bank Institute of TAFE in 2005, Jaydee began working as a dental technologist. During this time, his interest in ceramics was fostered by Ray Sharkey from Oral Design Queensland on the Sunshine Coast. Jaydee’s attentiveness for aesthetics and keen enthusiasm in photography complimented his skill and work in the fabrication of dental crowns and bridges.
In 2013, Jaydee completed an Advanced Diploma in Dental Prosthetics and more recently completed the Bachelor of Dental Prosthetics from TAFE Queensland in 2018. Being a new degree of its kind being offered in Australia, Jaydee desired the opportunity of being able to further knowledge, education, and qualifications.
As a practicing dental prosthetist, Jaydee is a member of the Australian Dental Prosthetist Association (ADPA), frequently attending conferences to continue his professional development. Clinically, his primary focus is on patient care, education and understanding, delivering a detailed research and evidence-based approach towards treatment planning and prosthetic dental care.

Consulting Dental Prosthetist
Ernie-James Galon completed a Diploma of Dental Technology from TAFE Queensland in 2007. He further completed a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Technology (post-registration) at Griffith University in 2012. Ernie-James continued his education in prosthetic dentistry and completed a Master of Dental Prosthetics in 2013; where he was awarded, The School of Dentistry and Oral Health Clinical Award. His master’s research focused on the psychology of edentulous patients (no remaining natural teeth) and its effects towards prognosis and treatment outcomes.
Until 2017, Ernie-James had been involved within student learning. During his formal studies in higher education he was involved with the School of Dentistry and Oral Health as an Adjunct Associate Lecturer in Dental Prosthetics. This included, supervising postgraduate students during their clinical treatment sessions, supervising both dental technology and dental science undergraduates during their technical laboratory sessions, lecturing clinical prosthetic theory, and exam moderation.
As a practicing dental prosthetist, Ernie-James is a member of the Australian Dental Prosthetist Association (ADPA), frequently attending conferences to continue his professional development. Clinically, his primary focus is on patient care, education and understanding. Through this Ernie-James aims to deliver a detailed research and evidence-based approach towards treatment planning and prosthetic dental care.
Ernie-James has completed additional undergraduate studies in psychological science at Bond University in Queensland, and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Monash University in Melbourne. He is currently working towards attaining a professional doctorate in clinical psychology.
Practice Manager
With over 30 years dental experience Karen brings a wealth of knowledge to the clinic having working in private practice, corporate dental and in a civilian role as a senior dental assistant supporting the Australian Defence Force at the Enoggera Army Barracks in Brisbane.
Karen is passionate about her role as practice manager and enjoys caring for our patients and going above and beyond to ensure everyone as a great experience.
Karen enjoys roller-skating and spending time with her beautiful daughters Lilly and Mary.
Clinic Manager
Bonnie grew up on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. She moved to the Peninsular about 5 years ago. Bonnie has worked in the Dental sector for the past 6 years. She has a Cert III in Dental Assisting and a Cert III in Business. Bonnie enjoys caring for patients and takes pleasure in getting to know the patients of the practice. Bonnie loves the peninsula and is happy to call it home, enjoying all it has to offer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, taking beach trips, mountain walks and keeping fit.
Practice Director
Dinna graduated from dentistry in the Philippines in 1988. When Dinna and her husband Joe migrated to Australia they established their first denture clinic in Redcliffe in 1996. Dinna and Joe opened another practice in Caboolture in 2006 and another following at Bribie Island in 2018.
The Smile Speciality Dental Group was established in 2013 when both her sons Jaydee and Ernie graduated as dental prosthetists, during this time she helped manage all 3 practices.
Dinna enjoys spending time with her family at work and at home and is a fan of KPOP and Netflix.
